I used to own Land Rover Discovery I, which was modified for "Romanian" terrain conditions. Now it is gone and I found out that off-road vehicles disappeared from the market. They have been substituted for stupid SUV vehicles. Commercial massage convinced people that they need to transport around children, surfboards, ski and bicycles and if they need to cross wet grass they need 4x4 drive... So what? I have 5-door Niva - Hard Cross edition equipped with air conditioning, heated seats, electrical windows...and reinforced bumper with a winch. Brutal wheels work and black discs suit well Niva brings attention and what is important - it works in any conditions.

I am happy with the car because I bought it lika a utillity car. I wanted vehicle which can get me to my cabin in mountains where only way to get there is on forest road which actually it looks like a dry bottom of stream. I also wanted a car which is not too smaal or too largeand without any of ''improvements'' like a electroassitants during drive down the hill, connecting 4x4 drive automatically, wheel slip assistant and oher. I think that similar car as Lada 4x4 is not even manufactured. I thought about buying some older used car but I know that Lada's are prone to corrosion, that's the reason why I bought new car. It is not car for long journeys or car which will impress girls but afordable worker.

I can now confirm that Lada Niva AMC HardCross was my best choice. I use my car in forest as among my hobbies is hunting. I can comfortably zigzag among trees - my colleagues with Navaras and Patrols cannot do this. The rear part of my car is equipped with rack for game animals, so I can comfortably deliver them to my home. Optimal travelling speed is around 80 km/h, I got used to it very quickly. It easily beats snow and mountain conditions where other off-road vehicles are without chances. I frequently use a winch - it several times smoothly lifted big wild swine from gorges and inaccessible terrains. I can recommend Niva and AMC to anyone who wants to buy a compact off-road vehicle from professionals.

I have bought Russian car UAZ HUNTER because I was upset by complicatedness of western cars. I prefer a simple car with possible long lifespan and off-road capabilities. UAZ is the one! Some people think that I got crazy, some admire my car. It was necessary to modify the car according to my preferences. I knew it before I bought the car, so I enjoyed it. I can recommend Russian cars, but they are not for everyone. You need to take care of them, especially with anti-corrosion measures, not to drive only. A man used to consumerist western cars will not be satisfied. But those who want to modify the car, take care of it and enjoy driving without all possible electronic assistants will be happy. And this is my case!

Last year I bought my UAZ HUNTER from AMC. I drove it from the Czech Republic to Ireland. I really enjoyed the trip and this vehicle is a real head turner. I use it everyday on my Farm in the fields or on the road towing a trailer for cattle or horses. I like its retro and rugged look. I' m manager of a French start up. I love sport, travel and adventures. I discovered the UAZ Bukhanka in Siberia while preparing an expedition on the Baikal lake (to cross it with iceboat). Because the iceboat cannot fit into a plane or trans siberian train, I decided to drive from Paris to Irkutsk with this car that I bought from AMC that is the best "dealer" of these cars in Europe. We ordered our UAZ Cargo from AMC in the first half of 2016 and received it on 23rd June 2016. Slight “new-born” problems were eliminated by the dealer. The vehicle has exceeded our expectations. I have a personal experience with UAZ 469 series and several ARO models, but this vehicle is a totally different category when we talk about driver comfort, manufacturing qualities and driving capabilities. We use the vehicle primarily for cargo transport and off-road driving with drones that we operate. I have to highlight the vehicle adaptability: acceptable consumption and speed on roads and at the same time excellent off-road capabilities.

I would like to thank you for exemplary attitude and all provided information. I was searching for my new vehicle for several months when I found information about UAZ vehicles in off-road forum. You must be either a little crazy when you drive a vehicle with a more than 50 years old design or you must be completely in love. I love to drive classic, robust Russian vehicles, because they are so much in contrast to our modern and hectic world - full of over-engineered electronic assistant systems. I already use OLGA (this is the name of our new family member = UAZ 2206) for my long daily way to work and we plan to use "her" also for our future adventure trips. It was a bit difficult to get OLGA registered in Berlin. But finally we were successful! Without the help of the experts from AMC this would not be possible!

I am satisfied with my first 2,860 km. Everything is in order. I had to get used to the vehicle during first 500 km. Gears are shifted smoothly. I am able to reach my plot and house in every weather, this was rather problematic before. It has excellent off-road capabilities – I had to use a front wheel drive and a low range gearbox only once. The rear seat passengers feel also comfortable. Majority of my driving is on petrol, the running-in consumption is up to 13 litres/100 km. Thank you and best regards!

I drive Bukhanka everyday to my job in forest and use it also for family holidays. It gives me a little bit of Russian atmosphere in Germany. Bukhanka stops the time in our fast-moving era. When I am older, I will go to Russia with Bukhanka to meet nice people and to see nice places and I will live in peace. My car is called "Kaule", which means a round thing in German dialect.
