UAZ Patriot powered by compressed natural gas successfully has passed tests of the Russian Ministry of Energy. The spark-ignition four-cylinder engine ZMZ with a volume of 2.7 litres was modified for CNG by the system of the 4th generation. The car contains three tanks, each with a capacity of 55 litres, so the total capacity is 165 litres, transferred to European standards 27.5 kg of natural gas. The consumption of the car should be 11 kg / 100 km, which equates to 250 kilometres tank range. New Patriot CNG is environmentally more friendly and cheaper than its petrol variant, namely it is 28.21% cheaper. Refuelling tanks takes an average of 10 minutes.
