GAZ Sobol AMC was specifically selected as an expedition vehicle thanks to its compact size, off-road capabilities and passenger space. Connectable FWD and a low range gearbox are among the main advantages. Its comfortable equipment includes electrically-operated side windows and electrically-adjustable and heated door rear view mirrors, central locking with a remote controller, independent heating, roof window and CD/USB audio, removable telescopic panel for notebook, multifunctional steering wheel, complete thermal insulation and front fog lights. The vehicle is used for long journeys, therefore it was modified to a 6 seater with removable seats that can be exchanged for 2 beds. The safe wading is secured by raised air intake with a cyclone filter together with ventilated gearboxes and axles. There are a protective frame in the front and a rear reinforced bumper. The cargo space contains two spare wheels, petrol can holders and a climbing jack.
